ACCES will use your information to develop and maintain our communications with you. This is done via the following:
- Subscribe you to periodic Email Newsletters maxium 6 times per year.
- Email notices of upcoming events
- Email notivcations of membership renewals 30 days in advance of expiry.
- Email notices on behalf of 3rd parties involved in the Clinical Engineering field.
ACCES also uses personal information to publishing membership directories. This information is published for the benefit of Clinical Engineering community. Information published in these directories does not include any direct means of contact and is limited to the following.

ACCES takes all reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information collected is protected against loss and unauthorized access. Access to your personal information is restricted to the Executive of ACCES. . A complete list of the ACCES Executive can be found on the Contact ACCES page.
The Director of publications maintains subscriptions to all security warning services for the software used to run this website. Our best effort is made to apply all patches and upgrades required for security reasons.
Our server hosting company is located in Canada and has no data centers in the USA. Your data is not subject to the US patriot act.
ACCES has invested in VPS hosting which means you data is maintained separately from any other websites. This is different from the more common and economical shared hosting options where your website runs on the same Operating System, Web server, and SQL server, used by dozens if not hundreds of other websites.
Registration and Memberships renewals require credit card transactions. These transactions are conducted on PayPal servers on the behalf of ACCES. Your credit card details are never seen by our servers. In 2009 PayPal's total payment volume was 71 billion $USD. With this volume of business PayPal has the resources to ensure the security of your credit card details.
Retention of Your Personal Information
ACCES does not at this time have any policy for purging collected information. If you would like any of your personal information removed from our server please contact the Director of Publications found on the Contact ACCES page.
All content (pictures, documents, and articles) submitted to the website become the property of ACCES, it will published at the discretion of the Director of Publications and the ACCES executive. Content will be removed upon written request of the original owner.
ACCES believes that it is very important to protect the privacy of children. All advertising, sponsorship and promotional activity is not targeted at those under the age of 13. To the best of our knowledge the ACCES website does contain any material of interest to children. ACCES does not intend to collect personal information from children, should we be aware that we have such information in our database it will promptly be deleted.
