ACCES (Atlantica Canada Clinical Engineering Society) is non profit society representing Clinical / Biomedical Engineering Professionals in Atlantic Canada. Clinical Engineering is the profession which manages and maintains specialized medical instrumentation in the hospital setting. ACCES is volunteer run and staffed. ACCES provides educational opportunities and a yearly conference for those in the Clinical Engineering field. 

ACCES is current looking for volunteers to help maintain their new website accessable at accesociety.org. The website consist of a deployment of Joomla 1.5 and CiviCRM 3.41 on hosted VPS (Virtual Private Server) account.

The volunteer is expected to format update and post content and manage mass Mailings. Their will be opportunity to be involved in website configuration as well.

Being completely Web based the site can be maintained from any computer with decent internet access. Only a few activities undertaken for the site require any software on a local machine. These activities include but are not limited to Photo Editing, Preparing PDFs from submitted material, and converting videos for publishing on the website. 

Training will be provided via written documentation, and live web based training. The successful candidate is expected to take initiative to review recommended materials.

While the pay is not great this is a great opportunity to learn some of the newest CMS (Content Management Systems) in a real world deployment.
