Electro Mechanical Technician – Bedford – Full Time Permanent
Our Clinical Engineering Service offers a provincial technology support program to health care organizations with base offices located in New Glasgow, Bedford, Kentville, Bridgewater, Amherst, Truro, Yarmouth, and Antigonish. We currently have an opening for an Electromechanical Technician to join our clinical engineering team in Central Nova Scotia based in Bedford and supporting our operations in Truro and Bridgewater.
You will be involved in the delivery of maintenance service on a variety of sterile processing and electromechanical patient care devices. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of health professionals within a team-based environment, and to provide an essential service toward the health and well being of others.
You must have successfully completed an Electronic or Electromechanical Technician program (or acceptable equivalent). Certification through TechNova, or eligibility for certification will be seen as an asset. Necessary skills include strong troubleshooting,interpersonal and communications skills,good mechanical ability. A good working knowledge of general computer applications is a requirement. Please note, extensive travel to member organization is a core requirement of this position, therefore applicants must have their own vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed as per Health Association rate.
