Paul graduated from a 2 year Electronics Engineering Technologist Program from NB Community College, Moncton Campus in 1977. He also received a Bachelor in Education from the University of Moncton in 1989.
Paul works as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist specializing in Medical Equipment. He has been employeed at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton NB since 1977. He also contributed to several international projects including a medical equipment evaluation project for AFCAN Inc. at R.H. Glover Hospital in Chile, feasibility studies toward the establishment of a Biomedical Engineering Technologist School in Haiti, as well as being an active collaborator in a development project for Ivory Coast.
Paul's day to day activities include performing specialized technical tasks involved in the installation, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting and calibration of a variety of complex diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment. The majority of his time is spent performing preventive maintenance on medical equipment. He is also responsible for organizing the Atlantic Clinical Engineering Seminar that is held in Moncton every year.
His hobbies include his involvement in a traveling company he started in 1982 and has since then been taking groups of travelers all over Canada, the United States and many parts of Europe. He also devotes many hours doing volunteer work in his community in various committees to help other people. |
