Sorry I wasn't part of the discussion with the vendor in question, so I don't know the exact details. But ACCES relies on the support the vendors in the medical field and can not afford to offend them.

Are you able to share the concerns expressed by the manufacturers? Was it just due to their names being present, or was it due to some work-arounds that were being shared?
