It’s that time of year again. During the week of May 15th-21st, 2022, Biomedical/Clinical Engineering departments coast-to-coast will climb out from the basements of their respected hospitals to be honoured and celebrated for the annual National Biomedical/Clinical Engineering Appreciation week. ACCES will once again be participating in the festivities with our annual photo contest.

Each year, we receive many amazing submissions from departments celebrating, and ACCES encourages you all to continue celebrating this special week. That being said, for a third straight year, this contest is being held in the midst of a pandemic so we’re once again sorry to see that submissions that were previously allowed pre-COVID such as sharing of cakes in the cafeteria, holding interactive contests, and standing alongside your displays in lobbies may not be the norm anymore. However, we still strongly encourage that you submit snap shots of creative ways you found to celebrate this week while maintaining your hospital’s COVID policies (keeping in mind the ACCES logo MUST be visible in the photo - see previous winners on website for examples). Keep them simple or take them one step further to help make your photo stand out, and here’s hoping this is the last year for those pesky restrictions!

Please limit submissions to 1 per department. There will be 3 winners drawn from the submissions, with each winner receiving a $200 cheque from ACCES to be used for a future event within your department.
