Peter graduated in 1996 from the College of the North Atlantic from Biomedical Engineering Technology. He immediately started work with Western Health as a Biomedical Technologist and over the next 8 years specialized in the coverage areas of patient monitoring, renal dialysis, medical imaging, nuclear medicine, and laboratory medicine. In 2008 Peter moved to the lead technologist position and then in 2010 was successful in being awarded the position of regional manager. Peter continued his educational pursuits and graduated from Memorial University / Marine Institute in 2017 from the Bachelor of Technology program. He plans on continuing his studies in the coming years by enrolling in a master’s program, obtaining CBET certification, and PMP certification. Peter has been a member of ACCES board for approximately 10 years as a director at large, and helping with various conferences during that time. His other interests include sitting on several CSA subcommittees, board member of Apline NL and sitting as provincial representative for Alpine Canada, and coaching volleyball at the school and provincial level. Peter’s other interests include being a DJ and starting a pool – spa service business. Peter looks forward to many more years helping further the advancement of the biomedical / clinical engineering profession in Atlantic Canada.
