To keep you up-to-date on what’s going on during this year’s conference, the ACCES Twitter account @ACCESociety will be active throughout the conference. If you already have a Twitter account, make sure to follow us for live updates and photos as the event unfolds.
Clinical Engineering Week Photo Contest: We encourage all ACCES members to put on their thinking caps and start thinking of ideas for creative ways to celebrate and promote our profession during this year’s upcoming Biomedical and Clinical Engineering Week on May 22-28, 2016. As part of the celebrations, ACCES is once again launching a photo contest to all its registered members in Atlantic Canada, with a special theme this year: “When healthcare meets technology”. For more information, or to submit photos, visit our website.
Membership Drive: The 2016 membership drive has officially launched. This year, new memberships and membership renewals completed on or before June 30th will receive a nice summer-themed ACCES gift: a camping chair and insulated beverage container to keep your drinks hot or cold. Make sure to renew your membership by the end of June to get in on this special offer! Click here to renew your membership online it takes less than 5 minutes.
Collaborating with Partners: The executives of ACCES and CMBES/SCGB (Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society / Société canadienne du génie biomédical) are pleased to announce an agreement to foster better communication between the organizations and subsequently foster better problem solving and synergies regarding common issues in biomedical/clinical engineering. The agreement includes a 50% discount to the members of the other society (sign-up bonuses excluded) and complimentary exhibit booths at each other’s conferences or seminars. ACCES members who might be interested in becoming a CMBES/SCGB member at a discounted rate should contact the CMBES/SCGB Secretariat.
Finally, stay tuned to the Society’s website for details on upcoming webinars and educational offerings!
